Kenner had made prototypes for 3 3/14 inch figures and had already released the 18" Alien that was quickly pulled from the shelves because parents felt it was too frightening for the kiddies.

Grendel Prime action figure (and more)

The BBTS has preorder listings for the new line of comic book character figures from Shocker Toys, including Madman, a Grendel, and a Grendel variant. At least from this gallery of photos, it seems the one, if not both, of the Grendels is Grendel Prime from Matt Wagner's excellent Grendel: War Child.

Speaking of, Wagner's Batman/Grendel featuring Hunter Rose is possibly my alltime favorite Batman story.
